Timothy R. Hill is a Professor and former Director of the School of Information Systems and Technology in the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business at San Jose State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

He has published in Management Science, Electronic Markets, Information Systems Management, Information Systems Frontiers, and Communications of the Association for Information Systems among others (RG = 17.79) and he serves regularly in leadership roles at ICIS, AMCIS. He and his co-authors have twice been recognized with the AIS award for Best Conference Paper in IS Education.

In 2014, he imagined Max and her blog as a way to engage iGeneration students with humor and good storytelling while at the same time delivering experiential learning about business technology concepts & practice and how they play out in Silicon Valley's innovation industry.
